Atlantis Models Non-Scale Angel Fink Ed Roth Figure Kit

Hi, Everyone!

Back during the end of August 2018, Atlantis Models announced that they purchased the tooling for many plastic model kits from the new owners of Revell.  These molds were from the tooling banks of Monogram, Revell, Aurora, and Renwal, some dating back to the early 1950s.  They were stored in Revell's Elk Grove facility in Illinois and represent automotive, aircraft, ships, military, figures, space, and many other subjects.  The deal was worked out shortly after the Hobbico bankruptcy was settled out.

One of Atlantis' upcoming releases from their deal will be the Angel Fink figure kit (kit number AMCH1307)!  Originally put out by Revell in 1964, this model is based on work from famed artist Ed "Big Daddy" Roth.

Hi, Everyone! I started a project to make a more accurate deflector dish assembly for the AMT / ERTL / Round 2 1:650 TOS U.S.S. Enterprise model kit. Back in the early 1970s, AMT changed the tooling of their 1:650 U.S.S. Enterprise model.  Although the kit itself from its original 1966 tooling had its accuracy problems, the changes made in the early 1970s created even more issues.  One of the issues was the deflector dish assembly: The housing was changed / simplified where the outside wall was raised higher, the inner three stepped rings were all made the same height as the outside wall, and the three "extrusions" from the secondary hull were added. Information Preservation - The New Enterprise Photo Survey - By Phil Broad

Hi, Everyone! Here is another blog article that I put together in order to preserve modeling information originally posted on other sources. Back in the 2000s, Star Trek fan and archivist Phil Broad posted various black and white photos of the Enterprise refit filming miniature.  Since detailed photographs of the Enterprise refit filming miniature during the time of Star Trek: The Motion Picture 's production are generally scarce, Phil's pictures are unique in that they were taken by him after the completion of TMP but before the production of Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan .  This makes the photos quite valuable as reference images to anyone who is researching the miniature as it appeared in TMP . Information Preservation - Painting the Refit (ST:TMP) - By Andy "Gunstar1" Grams on Hobby Talk

Hi, Everyone! Here is another blog article that I put together in order to preserve modeling information originally posted on other sources. While doing some casual Enterprise refit painting research, I came across a very insightful forum thread on Hobby Talk that was started on June 22, 2007 by forum member Andy "Gunstar1" Grams.  It was entitled "Painting the Refit ( ST:TMP )."  Here is the link: https://www.hobbytalk.com/threads/painting-the-refit-st-tmp.188494/ .
