MPC / Round 2 1:72 Space: 1999 Eagle Transporter - New Tool

Round 2 announced on their blog site that they are almost ready to replace their "classic" Space: 1999 1:72 Eagle Transporter (which turns out to actually be 1:96 scale) with a brand new tooled replacement!
At this time, they have a mock up in their hands. Test shots of the upcoming kit will be arriving to Round 2 soon, and an assembled test shot will be showing at WonderFest 2019 which will run on June 1 and 2 in Louisville, Kentucky.

Check out the images below that show the prototype mock up as well as comparisons with both the 1:48 model and the older 1:72 (errr...1:96) model.
It looks great! And the best part is that you will no longer have to get aftermarket parts to accurize it!

- A little over 14 inches (35.56 cm) long when built
- Landing gear will NOT feature springs (like the larger 1:48 kit has), but will come with two sets of legs so that modelers can build the kit in "landed" or "flying" positions
- Dome base included
- $50.00 U.S.D. estimated MSRP
