Donald "Don" Lee Matthys Passes Away At 64

Hi, Everyone!

It is with sadness to announce that Donald "Don" Lee Matthys passed away on Saturday, November 16, 2019, in Sanford Health Hospital, Fargo, ND.  He was 64.

To many of us for decades, he was Don of Don's Light and Magic (DLM) who offered detail upgrade and accurization parts and kits for our favorite genre model kits, many of which were quite unique and impossible to get from anywhere or anyone else.  His love of fantasy and science fiction - especially for the Star Trek franchise - combined with his passion for graphic design and scale modeling saw him frequently sharing his knowledge across various platforms including hobby forums and web sites.  Many of the articles that he took the time to write up in great detail continue to be referenced even today and have proven to be invaluable aids to everyone who comes across them.
